End of Term

To finish off the term we combined some of the artwork that the kids had done during the term to frame ready for display. I was so please with the results I wanted to keep them myself. It was a real wrench handing them over but when you saw the look on their faces at just how good their work was it was worth it. They really are raising the quality for next term though.

I am thinking flowers ... with the introduction of Spring and hopefully some sunny days.

Framed

Paper paper paper everywhere. That's what happened this week when I showed the group how to frame their artwork.

They used one of the pieces of paper to which they'd applied a coloured wash to as the background and then added one of their favourite pictures in the foreground. I think you'd agree that they've done a great job.

Week 7 Already

Where has the term gone?

This week we added colour to the wonderful array of beach huts the kids finished drawing last week. They used a colour wash all over them then added highlights using watercolour pencils.

I can't wait to see them all in frames. And looking at their faces, I think they enjoyed it too.
