What a busy last few weeks we have had. The kids all worked really hard to finish off their canvas with fantastic results. Each one of them were so proud with their achievement and so they should be.
They worked really hard over a large number of weeks to come up with their very own piece of artwork that can now proudly hang in their own homes.
My girls have theirs on an easel in their room, another mum is creating an art wall in her hallway for her children's artwork where the canvas takes pride of place and another little artist has been lucky enough to have hers put in the lounge room on display for all visitors to see. It is one huge step towards improving their self esteem when their work is put on display.

After the intensity of the painting we decided to try some more fun stuff and the name monsters were voted the most favourite so as you can see they were all very inventive in creating their own monster.
We then moved onto painting frames and working with water colours to create a background.
They each then designed their own patterned easter eggs to add to the backgrounds and then frame. Did I mention we have a very amusing and funny group this term. Trying to get them to smile nicely for a photo was not going to happen but at least you know they were having fun!

During the second last class they all had to come up with their own design for their very own egg cup. They then had a chance to try their hand at china painting which proved to be not a simple as they first thought. They did really well and completed their work which I presented to each of them wrapped with a chocolate egg just in time for Easter...
